Privacy Policy

Quiet Iron (“the app”, “we”) is a men's body and hormonal-health app. It is local-first: almost everything you log stays on your device. This policy explains the small amount of data that leaves your device and how it is used.

Summary

We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not sell your data, and run no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Your health and training logs stay on your device (and in Apple Health if you allow it). They are sent to our server only if you use the AI Coach.
You can export all your data, and delete all your data and your account, anytime from Settings → Data transfer.

What we process, and why

On your device only (not collected by us)

Check-ins, weight and body measurements, libido/sleep/mood ratings, workouts, cardio, Kegel sessions, recovery scores, custom programs and AI Coach chat history are stored locally on your device (and, if you enable it, mirrored to Apple Health). This data is not transmitted to us and is not part of any analytics.

Sent to our server — only when you use the AI Coach

When you send a message to the Coach, the app transmits, over HTTPS: your typed message, and a weekly summary (trends for weight, waist, sleep and libido, your recovery average, and training/cardio counts for the last 7 days). This is used solely to generate the Coach's reply. It is processed by Anthropic (Claude) and Supabase as our subprocessors, associated with your anonymous account id. It is not used for advertising or profiling, and is not sold. Coach messages are not retained on our server after the reply is generated.

Anonymous account

On first launch the app creates an anonymous account — a random identifier with no name, email, or phone number — to enable the Coach and attribute your subscription. We never receive your Apple ID.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to receive subscription status so we can unlock Pro features. We do not receive your payment card or Apple ID.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, the app reads weight, sleep, hydration, resting heart rate, HRV, steps and walking workouts to pre-fill your check-in and compute your recovery score, and writes weight, water and cardio sessions back so other apps stay in sync. HealthKit data is processed on-device. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never sent to our servers — except for the derived weekly summary above, and only when you use the Coach.

Diagnostics

Crash and hang diagnostics (via Apple's MetricKit) are stored locally with file protection. They are only shared if you explicitly tap “Share crash reports”.

Your choices and rights

Export: Settings → Data transfer → Export all data to JSON (optionally password-encrypted).
Delete: Settings → Data transfer → Delete all my data erases everything on the device and deletes your anonymous server account and all data linked to it. This cannot be undone.
Subscriptions: manage or cancel in the App Store (Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting your data does not cancel an active subscription.
Health permissions: revoke anytime in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access.

Retention

Local data is kept until you delete it or uninstall the app. Server-side account data is kept until you delete your account. Billing records may be retained as required for financial record-keeping.

Subprocessors

Apple — App Store purchases, HealthKit.
Supabase — authentication, database, and Coach function hosting.
Anthropic — the Claude model that powers the Coach.
RevenueCat — subscription status management.

Children

Quiet Iron is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Changes

We will update this policy as the app evolves and revise the date above.
